Tim Hands
Tim studied a BA Degree in Fine Art followed by an MA in Film at The Royal College of Art. He began his career as an assistant in TV Documentaries before moving into TV drama as a picture assistant and as a Film Editor on several projects including the series “Roughnecks” and later found his calling as a Sound Editor.
He has been a freelance Dialogue and ADR Editor on a broad range of Film and TV projects from live action (The Jackal. Elizabeth, Proof Of Life, World War Z) to Musicals (Mamma Mia, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera), Animation (Chicken Run, The Gruffalo, Early Man) Comedy (Flora And Son, Blithe Spirit, Man Up) Horror (Seed of Chucky, Shark Bait, Ravenous) and even Puppets (Dark Crystal - Age of resistance). His successful career has seen him earn 4 Emmys (The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, Game of Thrones) and a BAFTA (House of the Dragon) as well as 7 MPSE Golden Reels. Better known for his work in Dialogue it was his Sound Design work that awarded him his first Emmy.
Tim continues to work in the industry and has a number of projects currently nearing completion before returning to House of the Dragon for Season 2.
