Director Media Operations, BBC

Morwen Williams is the BBC’s Director of Media Operations, leading 900 operations and craft staff in London, Salford, Birmingham, Bristol and beyond. 

Previously she was BBC News’s Director of UK Operations, and Deputy UK Editor, leading on major UK special events, and also output editor in BBC regions in London and Manchester.  

She is chair of the World Broadcasting Union International Media Connectivity Group, an alumni of the Media Transformation Challenge at Harvard University, a mentor for RISE (inaugural RISE Woman of the Year 2019) and a senior fellow of John Schofield Trust for young journalists.
