John is Director of Technical Sales, UK and Western Europe at Evertz, and Chair of the UK Section of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers. An alumnus of Salford University in the United Kingdom and École Centrale de Lyon in France, he has since gained over 30 years’ experience creating specialist network and workflow solutions for broadcasters and media companies worldwide including national-scale production networks for the UK’s public-service broadcasters, and distribution of live television and radio to global audiences. 
 
John now leads Evertz’ technical sales in the UK and Western Europe, making use of his wide network across the media industry and specialist technical capabilities to bring innovative solutions to media companies. As Chair of the UK Section of SMPTE, John has overseen the Section’s growth over the past 5 years, with hugely successful monthly meetings attended by a diverse group from across the UK’s film, production and TV industry, student events and a world-class European conference held annually.
