Jenny Springett
Jenny Springett is an AI Consultant and active TV development executive, a combination that gives her a genuinely distinct perspective on AI in television: one rooted in what actually happens in production, not in a tech lab.
With 15+ years of experience across development and production, she runs Spring Generation, her independent AI consultancy, alongside consulting for several large indies, and working with leading UK broadcasters and production companies, including Channel 4, BBC, ScreenSkills, and Northern Ireland Screen to upskill the industry.
She has co-authored the BBC Academy's first practical AI training courses, influenced BBC Editorial Policy as part of the founding BBC AI Production Working Group, and leads ScreenSkills' AI for Development programme, the industry's first dedicated AI upskilling course for unscripted TV freelancers.
Jenny's central argument is that AI, used well, can position broadcast television as the premium destination in a landscape of noise and slop. But used badly, it risks eroding the creativity and audience trust that make TV worth watching. She speaks and writes on the creative and ethical dimensions of AI in TV, and has appeared on panels and podcasts.
She comes from TV, not tech. That's what makes her worth listening to.
