Head of Library & Curatorial Services, BBC

Claire Coss is Head of Library and Curatorial Services for BBC Archives. She leads the archive and library teams who manage and preserve the BBC’s Television, Radio, Music, Photos and Written Archive collections across all four UK nations. She is responsible for the archive curation strategy and policy for these collections to ensure that they are secure and accessible for research and re-use by BBC content producers and partners.

Claire has over 25 years’ experience working with the BBC’s archive collections, having started in the BBC as a TV cataloguer in 2000. Claire is passionate about preserving and showcasing the content in the BBC’s archive collections, which span more than one hundred years of the BBC, for current and future audiences, which includes herself - a self-confessed TV addict.
